Make Pocket Hole Plugs Invisible Plugging pocket holes is more about making them invisible than making them waterproof. To do that, first dampen the pocket holes and apply a bit of polyurethane glue (see Photo 1). Next, clamp the plugs in place while the glue dries. Finally, trim the plugs flush with the surface of the project (see Photo 2) and scrape off any leftover glue.
