PVC Clamp Holders
Like many woodworkers, I don’t have a lot of room in my shop. So I
try to make the most of the space that I have. Since most of my wall space
is already taken up with cabinets and counters, I needed to find a place to
store my long pipe clamps. So I turned to the ceiling, as you can see in
the photo at right.
The clamp rack makes it easy to organize the clamps and keep them within
easy reach. Best of all, the storage rack doesn’t take a lot of time or
materials to build. It consists of two identical parts. Each section is a
piece of “two-by” stock that gets screwed to the ceiling
joists. Next a series of PVC holders is attached. The 2″-dia. PVC
holders have a cutout that makes it easier to get the clamps in and out of
the rack, as in the photo in the left margin.
